West Hartford Super Kids Karate (SuperKids-Karate.com) and Jiu Jitsu Assistant Instructor William “Billy” Pola has achieved his dream of going to Wheelock College in Boston to pursue a career in social work. He leaves In the Fall of 2007, and Superkids-Karate West Hartford will greatly miss him.
SuperKids-Karate Assistant Instructor Billy Pola, Tae Kwon Do high red belt and Jiu-Jitsu Blue belt, has always wanted to receive his higher education from Wheelock College located in Boston. Wheelock was a perfect fit for Billy because it is one of the best schools in the nation for social work. Billy has wanted to be a social worker from the time he was a wee Superkid. Paul “Mr.” Bratslavsky says,” Billy’s extreme dedication and Diligence makes him a great martial artist, but it is his kind heart, compassion, and gentle nature that will make him a great social worker”. Billy loves working with children, which is why when he was offered the assistant instructors position at Superkids-Karate West Hartford he jumped at the chance. “What could prepare me better for a career in social work better than SuperKids Karate,” Billy says, “The discipline I learned from SuperKids, and the skills I have acquired from working with the children is the best experience I could have asked for.” We are all going to be sad to see Billy leave SuperKids Karate West Hartford CT come the fall, but we are excited for the addition of such a promising young man to the field of social working.
